OLPC XO Laptop

Last year, the students in this course held a fundraiser to buy two XO Laptops. These laptops have been designed for use by students in third world countries. They are given to students to take home where in some cases they might be the only source of light. The class kept one laptop, the other was donated to the OLPC program.

The XO contains many innovative features such as a daylight visible screen, a flash drive, mesh networking and a large collection of pre-installed software.

the future of cellphones

During our ICT 12 class we experienced voting and giving our opinions by tex messaging a poll online. As of now cellphones are banned in schools and teachers will actually take them away if they are visible. However if they were to use cellphones and tex messaging for giving your opinion almost every kid would participate in class guarenteed. For example in physics class a teacher could say "does everyone understand" or "what day do u want your test to be on."
This would be a great tool for universities or collages especially because of the huge classes.

blog update

During our ICT 12 class today we visited a site called Wolfram Alpha. We checked up our decimal to binary and found out my position was 16, my number is 10000. We then signed up to google analytics and added it to my blogger account. Google analytics tracks internet traffic to a website, like where they are from and what browser they are using.
